Overwhelmed and Exhausted

You feel overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts and exhausted from engaging in compulsive behaviors.

You just want to live your life, but it feels like you have to keep doing rituals to stop the distressing thoughts.

It feels like you’re a hamster on a wheel that just keeps going around. You desperately want to get off, but the cycle doesn’t stop.

Afraid and Alone

No one else seems to have a debilitating fear of vomit. You don’t tell anyone.

You can just imagine what they would think of an adult terrified at the very mention of throwing up.

So you avoid people and situations as best you can. And when you can’t, you try to disguise the paralyzing fear that builds inside of you.

Isolated and Overthinking

You turn down invitations to social gatherings whenever possible.

When you do go to an event, you feel like every eye is on you, and you just want to disappear.

Afterward you replay your conversations for hours, or days, analyzing how you came across.

Worried and on Edge

Friends say you’re a “worrywart” and need to chill.

You’d love to stop worrying, about your job, your family, your finances, your health, all the terrible situations you read about in the news.

But it’s not like you can just flip a switch and turn the worry off.

You’re irritable, you have trouble sleeping, and you constantly feel on edge, like something bad will happen.

Joyless and Hopeless

Getting out of bed is the hardest thing you do all day.

Tasks that used to be a breeze now feel like climbing Mt. Everest.

There’s a heaviness weighing you down and nothing seems fun anymore. It’s hard to remember what joy felt like.

It Feels Like the Pain Is Winning

You can choose to continue letting your OCD, emetophobia (fear of vomit), social anxiety, or depression have the upper hand, as you withdraw more and more from the people and activities that are important to you.

The thing is, the longer you continue your thought and behavior patterns, the more engrained they become, making it increasingly difficult to live the life you want.

The good news is: There's another option.

It's Time for a Change!

Now is the time to choose a different path. There is so much hope for a brighter future!

Therapy can help you face your fears in a structured way within a supportive environment.

You can learn new ways of thinking that change how you feel.

You can learn how your behaviors affect your mood, and take small steps toward changing the behaviors that are keeping you trapped in the same cycle.
